In the event that a certificate is lost or damaged, a certifying statement will be issued upon submission of application.
The application letter must be submitted together with:
· Police Report;
· National Identity card;
· Reference letter from the school where an individual obtained the certificate;
· Reference from a notable or well-known person such as Member of Parliament (MP), Doctor, Reverend, Chief, Magistrate etcetera, testifying that he/she knows the applicant personally;
· Payment of processing fee of MK 52, 500.00 to be deposited in MANEB’s National Bank Account No. 1123688 – Zomba Branch. Payment is made after the application has been vetted, hence the need for applicants to provide all contact details in their applications.
The applicant should, then, hand-deliver all these documents in person to MANEB head Offices, Off Malemia Road, Next to Old Parliament Building in Zomba or email them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Applicants based in the Northern and Central Regions are advised to submit the application documents to our Mzuzu and Lilongwe Regional Offices, respectively. The Mzuzu office is in Luwinga location and Lilongwe office is in Area 3 – European Business Center, Off Glynn Jonnes Road, behind NBS Bank. An application made through a third person will be rejected.
Processing takes a minimum of a week, all things being equal. Alternatively, a two-day express service for a lost or damaged certificate is available at a service fee of K80,000.
When processing is done, MANEB will contact the applicant using contact details indicated on the application letter. The applicant should come with a valid identification document i.e. passport, license, National Identity card to collect the certificate.
