PRESIDENT LAZARUS CHAKWERA HAILS MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND MANEB FOR SUCCESSFULLY IMPLEMENTING E-REGISTRATION AND E-PAYMENT AND ADMINISTERING LEAKAGE FREE 2023 PSLCE AND JCE EXAMINATIONS

His Excellency, President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has commended Ministry of Education and MANEB for successfully implementing the online system for registering students for national examinations and payment of examination fees. He further hailed the Ministry and MANEB for conducting leakage free examinations.

The President made the sentiments on 15th August 2023 as he engaged with Ministry of Education and MANEB technocrats prior to the release of the 2023 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) and Junior Certificate of Education (JCE) examination results. 

According to the results that were released later that day, a total of 267,225 candidates had registered for the PSLCE examination. Out of these 267,330 sat for the examination, representing an attendance rate of 96.8%. Out of the 267,330 who sat for the examination 234,645 have passed. This represents a pass rate of 87.77%.

A total of 176,432 candidates had registered for the JCE examination. Out of these 168,219 sat for the examination, representing an attendance rate of 95.34%. Out of the 168,219 who sat for the examination 122,219 have passed. This represents 72.65 % pass rate.

 

The examination results should be accessed from centers where the candidates registered for the examinations.
